Cyper Produktion is a major player in organizing concerts and cultural events, showcasing talents from the southwest Indian Ocean region. Since its founding in 1986 by Percy Yip Tong, the organization has been dedicated to promoting music and artists from the region, organizing concerts and tours not only in neighboring islands but also in Europe and the United States.

Percy Yip Tong Director & Founder

After having studied at university and been actively involved at the heart of cultural organisations in Europe, Percy Yip Tong returned to Mauritius in 1986 to open his own structure: Cyper Produktion. Thanks to his previous work experience in France and Germany, he devoted his efforts to the promotion of artists based in Mauritius and the neighbouring Islands of the South-West Indian Ocean (Madagascar, Seychelles, Comoros, Reunion, Mayotte and Rodrigues).

He now also works with bands from Africa.
He set up the Koool Kreol record label in 1987 and launched the SAMEMSA Indian Ocean festival in 2004.

He has been in charge of major cultural events in Mauritius (National Independence day, Festivals, etc..) and the region (Madagascar, Seychelles, etc..). Percy manages groups from Mauritius, Madagascar, Comoros, Mozambique, Kenya and Ghana and regularly tours with them in Europe and America.

Tarika Sammy Madagascar

TARIKA SAMMY blends Madagascar’s diverse musical styles, offering a journey across the Big Red Island. Sammy, living in his own musical world, crafts nearly all his instruments, from violins and flutes to traditional guitars (kabosy) and percussion. Bosco, who learned the kabosy while herding zebu in the Eastern Highlands, joined Sammy in Antananarivo in 2004. They are accompanied by Clara, a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and dancer from Betsileo, who began singing the a-capella style zafindraona at age six.
